I'm Elenisa Vasquez, a proud high school Assitant Principal, EdTech enthusiast, certified librarian, and a passionate life-long learner.

 

I'm loving my most recent role as a high school administrator where I have the opportunity to make a positive impact on our teachers and students in so many ways, every single day. In my previous role as Digital Learning Facilitator, I got to work with teachers in EdTech professional development in addition to launching and facilitating district-wide technology campaigns. However, my best days were always when I got to work with both teachers and students in the classroom delivering dynamic and engaging technology-infused lessons.

 

As a way to share findings and best practices in our work, I've also presented at district-wide, regional and state-wide conferences, including the  2017 & 2018 Area 1 LIB TECH Conference, TCEA Annual Convention 2018 and 2019, the 2018 Elementary Technology Conference, as well as the upcoming 2020 TCEA Annual Convention!

I embarked on my teaching career in 2004, and since then I've taught elementary, middle school, community college, and university students. Throughout the years I've earned a Masters in Library Science and a Masters in Education, with a concentration in Reading and Curriculum and Instruction. I'm a certified School Librarian, a Master Reading Teacher, and I have certificates in Technology Applications, Special Education, ELA 4-8, and Bilingual Generalist EC-4.

Although I've had a wide variety of teaching positions, certifications, and skills, they all revolve around my passion to instill an enthusiasm for life-long learning in everyone I work with!
